Terms of service
These terms are an agreement between you (the business signing up) and Prairie Valley Tech LLC, an Illinois company, for PlateCrew. By using PlateCrew you agree to them. Questions: owner@prairievalley.tech.
1. What PlateCrew is
PlateCrew is software for taking catering requests, sending quotes, tracking deposits, planning prep and related tasks, set up for your business by us. It is a tool. It is not a payment processor, an accountant, a lawyer or a food-safety adviser.
2. Your account and setup
You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter (menu, prices, rules, contact details), for keeping your login private, and for the promises you make to your own customers. We'll set PlateCrew up as agreed; tell us if something is wrong and we'll fix it.
3. Fees
The monthly fee and any one-time setup fee are the ones we agree with you in writing or by email, billed in advance each month. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before changing your price. Card-processing fees are charged by Square or Stripe to your own account and are not ours. Taxes, if any, are extra.
4. Cancelling
There is no contract. You can cancel any time by emailing us; service continues to the end of the month you've paid for. Before you leave you can download your customer list and requests. After cancelling we keep your data for 30 days in case you want to return or export it, then delete it.
5. Your data
You own your menu, your content and your customers' information. You give us permission to store and process them only to run PlateCrew for you. See our privacy page. You are responsible for having the right to enter your customers' information and for how you use it.
6. Payments
Deposits and payments go through your own Square or Stripe account under their terms. We're not a party to a transaction between you and your customer, and disputes, refunds and chargebacks are between you, your customer and your payment provider.
7. Acceptable use
Use PlateCrew for your lawful food business. Don't misuse it, try to break into it or other businesses' data, send spam through it, or resell it.
8. Quotes, prep numbers and food safety
Prices, quantities, costs, shopping lists and capacity figures are calculated from what you enter. Check them. Food safety, allergens, licensing and what you promise customers remain entirely your responsibility.
9. Availability
We work hard to keep PlateCrew running and backed up, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, especially when a provider we rely on has an outage. We may do maintenance and improve the service over time.
10. Warranty and liability
PlateCrew is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost bookings or profit, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
11. Ending service
We may suspend or end service if fees go unpaid for a significant time or these terms are seriously broken, and we'll tell you why and give you a chance to export your data unless that would be unsafe or unlawful.
12. Changes and law
We may update these terms; we'll tell active customers by email before a material change. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
